[edit] Barnstar

For your observation that "Wikipedia is not a suicide pact" on Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Marc_Perkel -- funny and astute -- I, Nlu, award this Surreal Barnstar. Keep up the wonderful mix of humor and wisdom!

Thanks for the compliment. It's greatly appreciated. I'll definitely look into it. Ilyon 20:00, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Russian architecture

Thanks a lot for responding to my RfC at talk:Russian architecture, and for taking the time to write a well-phrased and considerate opinion. We certainly have been lacking a wider range of views. The article has been at an impasse over POV for a while, and this should help us move on. Michael Z. 2005-12-9 20:20 Z

[edit] User Info

Dude, your several spoofs of the "This user speaks..." boxes are insanely amusing. Are they all original, or did you harvest them from somewhere?--Benn M. 01:27, 17 December 2005 (UTC)

May I bum a few that apply? :) --Benn M. 07:05, 17 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] That freaking Childlove-thing vote or whatever

  • "Jesus H. Christ. That's all I have to say. That's my vote. Jesus H. Christ."

Hahahahahaha. Man, you RULE. That is awsome. --DanielCD 01:16, 4 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] OMG

Image:OMG icon.jpg...Becky, look at her Butt...it is soo Big...I mean, it's like, so round...

And I just joined the kindness campaign! Kinda like when Eddie Murphy talks about getting drunk with his friends on election day and going in with them to vote for Jessie Jackson, laughing hysterically; then he wakes up the next morning, grabs his head and whimpers, "I voted for Jessie Jackson!!" I'm beginning to think I need a long Wikivacation.

BTW, your humor really does help cut the stress in some places and it's appreciated (and needed!). --DanielCD 14:11, 6 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks a lot....

Sorry i could not thank you before for fixing up one of my user boxes....i have been very busy of late.... Thanks a lot again....

P.S.:-I love your user page... :)

[edit] Thanks...for making wiki not suck.

Having read your userpage (after reading your post here with which I agreed 99%) and having had a great laugh at your "out of control" userbox, I just wanted to say thanks for "being you". Wiki might make the internet not suck but you "make wiki not suck". Lawyer2b 01:08, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

P.S. - I hope you don't mind that I steal your "out of control" userbox for my own page.

[edit] Good job on Stockton Massacre

You did a fine job on Stockton massacre, Herostratus. Thank you for supplying the time, desire, and patience to straighten it out. Madman 00:30, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cum fart

Just had to say, great stuff on the Cum fart talk page. Hilarious and, as a bonus, quite appropriate. As far as I'm concerned, one of the two things wiki has over other online encyclopedias is its incredible zeitgeist/slang/pop culture aspect. Articles like that are part of what differentiates it. [edit] SpinnWebe page deletion

I just found out about that. Thanks for your kind words, anyway. Maybe at some later point someone will recreate it. --Spinn 19:17, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] thank you

thank you for your support regarding the proposed deletion of the page that was started about me. I was pretty surprised to see that I was not considered "noteworthy" enough to have one after someone else started it. Looks like I should have been out doing more self-promoting than all that behind the scenes researching of pedophiles this last decade then they mighthve heard of me by now.  ; ) thanks again for the validation. wikiloove to you too. --Nikkicraft 22:39, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome back

I think after all the fuss, you are stronger than ever for it. I was wondering where you were. Charmmy Kitty was just a joke; the SuggestBot looked at my edits and gave that as a suggestion for me to edit. A riot. Bot needs some tweaking. --DanielCD 04:14, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

"BLXT SNRD is our band that ROXXX!!! we dont havany instraments but that dont mater..."

[edit] Frysk

Thanks for the correction and the compliments! English and Fries are related indeed... my father (a real Frisian) doesn't speak English so well, so he once started to talk in Frisian to his British collegue.... and this guy could immediately answer to his question! :-)

[edit] NBA Logos

I agree with you on the logos too, but apparently Ed is following the rules down to the letter, and he's saying that we can't use them. Do you think there's an avenue we can try to get this sorted out? Dknights411 23:50, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Congratulations

You're now an admin. Please spend some time reflecting on the points that were raised in opposition to your candidacy to the extent that you can use them to be a better editor and asset to the project. Review policy before taking action, and it's always a good idea to be conservative with the admin tools. Specifically, there are precious few cases where undoing other admin's actions are urgent, so reflect, discuss and gather consensus as needed. I expect that you'll do great as evidenced by the maturity you displayed in your candidacy, but don't make me look bad :). Have fun, and don't hesitate to ask if you need anything. - Taxman Talk 11:47, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Congratulations. Here are what pass for words of wisdom from the puppy:
  1. Remember you will always protect the wrong version.
  2. Remember you must always follow the rules, except for when you ignore them. You will always pick the wrong one to do. (See #5)
  3. Remember to assume good faith and not bite. Remember that when you are applying these principles most diligently, you are probably dealing with a troll.
  4. Use the block ability sparingly. Enjoy the insults you receive when you do block.
  5. Remember when you make these errors, someone will be more than happy to point them out to you in dazzling clarity and descriptive terminology.
  6. and finally, Remember to contact me if you ever need assistance, and I will do what I am able.

[edit] Scott Walter

Hey there. You just speedied this article that I'd tagged A7, but the author has reposted it, and is continuing to remove speedy tags despite a post on his user page. Could you take another look, please? I'm quite certain the artist doesn't pass WP:MUSIC, but I'm off now and can't keep trying to get through with this one. Thanks! Hey. Just want to throw some kudos at ya' for your weathering of the storm at Wikipedia:Protecting children's privacy. How do you stay so calm? [edit] Your Firefox userbox template and logo

I'm stealing them for my personal page! And there's nothing you can do about it! =)

Seriously, do I have your permission to use them? You did a very nice job with the fox pic, and from what I can see here, also a lot of worthy contributions to the wiki! Congrats. Keep it up, buddy! --Lobizón 18:04, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Userboxes

Thank you, Herostratus, for helping me with my userbox problem. I was becoming increasingly frusterated with reading nonsense on the userbox help page. Thank you for your time helping me.--Mr.Weirdo 04:00, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vox Femina Los Angeles

THANK YOU! As a newbie here, I *really* appreciate your efforts on "my" behalf! I went to bed last night not knowing if my first article would still be there when I got up this morning. I was VERY pleased to see that a more experienced person had put some time into it - enuf to "save" it for TODAY, anyway! I will ferret out some hard evidence to verify the statements that need citations. Thanks again for your help! Laurie Fox 19:20, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
