[edit] Thank you!

Thanks for supporting me on my Rfa, Herostratus! I appreciate your trust. I hope our future interactions are less peripheral, and at least as positive! The puppy is now an Admin (final tally 58/7/2) Please let me know if there is anything I can ever do to assist you. KillerChihuahua?!? 17:59, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My RFA

Hi Herostratus/log rolling, thanks for participating in my RfA discussion. Unfortunately, my fellow Wikipedians have decided at this time that I am not suitable to take on this additional responsibility, as the RfA failed with a result of 66/27/5 (71.0% support). If you voted in support of my request, thank you! If you decided to oppose me at this time, then I hope that if I do choose to reapply in the future, the effort I will make in the meantime to improve and expand my contributions to Wikipedia may persuade you to reconsider your position. All the best, Proto t c 10:44, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for your voting!

Thanks!

Hi, thanks for your voting on my RFA. It has finished with the result 88/14/9, and I am promoted. I am really overwhelmed with the amount of support I have got. With some of you we have edited many articles as a team, with some I had bitter arguments in the past, some of you I consider to be living legends of Wikipedia and some nicks I in my ignorance never heard before. I love you all and I am really grateful to you.

If you feel I can help you or Wikipedia as a human, as an editor or with my newly acquired cleaning tools, then just ask and I will be happy to assist. If you will feel that I do not live up to your expectation and renegade on my promises, please contact me. Maybe it was not a malice but just ignorance or a short temper. Thank you very much, once more! abakharev 07:34, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Image:Cyde.png This user thinks it is ironic that thanks for supporting Cyde's successful RFA came in the form of a userbox.

Here's a userbox for you. --Cyde Weys 04:30, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Barnstar

Dear Herostratus: I am greatly honoured, and most grateful, for the kind barnstar that you gave me for my message to David Mestel. I consider it, in part, my mission on Wikipedia to try to get people to understand each other a little better. I always think it's worth going that extra mile to try to explain how we do things down here to people who haven't quite grasped it, so that we gain valuable contributors via this process rather than lose them via animosity and misunderstanding; in part, my work as a mediator and advocate has been on this basis. Once again, many thanks; if there is any way of which I can be of service to you, or indeed another Wikipedian, do please drop me a line. My very best regards, --NicholasTurnbull | (talk) 20:23, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

p.s. May I please have your permission to correct my name within the barnstar text to read "Nicholas Turnbull", rather than "Nichola Turnbull", and to reformat the barnstar to fit in my gallery? Thank you most kindly, --NicholasTurnbull | (talk) 20:23, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Barnstar thanks

Thanks for the barnstar. I'm honored. Cheers, -Will Beback 04:38, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nook and Cranny Support Thanks!

Thanks for contributing to my successful RfA!
To the people who have supported my request: I appreciate the show of confidence in me and I hope I live up to your expectations!
To the people who opposed the request: I'm certainly not ignoring the constructive criticism and advice you've offered. I thank you as well!

I absolutely appreciate your support, and am thankful that you noticed my interest in the obscure policies and rules on Wikipedia. There are some really interesting nooks and crannies to Wikipedia. Check out mine sometime: Wikipedia:Oversight :D ~Kylu (u|t) 06:57, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

Congratualtions! Now, I'm going to pester you more often! ;) Yanksox (talk) 12:50, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Whew, a long seven days! Your good humor pulled you through. Many people could not deal with some the more strongly worded oppose votes. FloNight talk 13:09, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
Congratulations! The whole discussion kept me right on the edge of my seat (figuratively, though, since I'm sitting on the floor). Joyous! | Talk 14:26, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
Congratulations and good luck with the mop, bucket, and flame-proof underwear. -- nae'blis (talk) 14:49, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Congrats! I thought you might not make it for a while there. --TantalumTelluride 20:05, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
Don't go creating any havoc now! Congrats, you have certainly earned it. --DanielCD 03:24, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks very much to all of you for your kind words! I've been away and not able to respond until now. I appreciated your kindness. Herostratus 12:54, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Congrats on your adminship!

Hey, long time no speak! Congrats on becoming an admin. Had I known you were up for the position I would have, of course, been opposed. Boy, they let anybody in, these days, huh?  ;-) Seriously, congrats, I wish I had known earlier. Lawyer2b 00:14, 4 August 2006 (UTC) P.S. You are totally wrong about Malkin. She's hot and right 95% of the time. xoxox

[edit] Hello Herostratus

  • Hello Herostratus. Thank you very much for the service awards. I like the new proposed system, and I shall wear the awards with pride and affection. Yours, Johntex\talk 05:39, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thank you for being the first to acknowledge my efforts!

Hi there! I got a message from you earlier tonight about my gnome-like behavior here and was pleased to see someone out there actually appreciates my efforts. You've motivated me to finally create an account and start racking up edits. If you have a moment please stop over at my talk page and say hi!

[edit] Hey, thanks!

I've been feeling like I'm a slacker on the PAW articles, actually -- but it's true we've done all right in getting the most biased stuff out. DanBDanD 17:26, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thank You

For offering your opinion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lori Klausutis (third nomination). The article was deleted. "The quality of mercy is not strain'd . . . It is enthroned in the hearts of kings, It is an attribute to God himself; And earthly power doth then show likest God's, When mercy seasons justice." ~ Wm. Shakespeare, The Merchant of Venice, Act IV Scene 1. Morton devonshire 22:42, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for the Barnstar :)

Thanks for the barnstar :) It really cheered me up :) I am doing my best to understand the policies etc... I recognise that the vast majority needed deletion but am still hanging on in hope for the last few important pageant pictures! -- PageantUpdatertalk | contribs | esperanza 06:34, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your congrats

Hi Herostratus :-) Thanks for your congrats and your support. It is going to be Real Interesting, for sure. I still have the pedophile articles on my watchlist. I might try to get back to them soon. I'm going to do some editing before I jump into the ArbCom. --FloNight 13:04, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
