Herman was born in San Miguel, El Salvador. He is of Hispanic heritage. He currently resides in East Meadow, New York.

Herman migrated to the United States when he was 6 years old. He migrated from El Salvador, a central american country.

Herman was born to Maria Gloria Almendarez, a southern bell, who lived with her parents in a middle class house, and Herman Israel Almendarez, a farmer, who studied English and Business. Maria and Herman met and married in a church. Herman migrated to the United States and left Maria with baby Herman in El Salvador.
