Hertford North is about ten minutes walk from the town centre in North Road and opened in 1924. Stations on the line include Stevenage, Watton-at-Stone, Bayford and Cuffley. Trains on this line are run by First Capital Connect on the Hertford Loop Line. It features a lift a small shop and two ticket booths, one of which is nearly always shut. It is often much easier to buy tickets from the two ticket machines, however these seen to be very sporadic in terms of when they are filled with change. There is a licensed minicab office next to the station.
