Hershey Kay

Hershey Kay (1919 - 1961) was a well-known arranger for ballet who is especially noted for:

Hershey was the son of a Philadelphia printer. He started arranging music to escape playing the cello. Hershey studied cello at Philadelphia's Curtis Institute. He played in various pit orchestras. He began getting his first arragnging commissions in the early '40s, and by 1944 he was arranging for Broadway productions.
