Heroes For Sale is a blues based, funk rock band from England. Lead Guitarist Kevin Mckie had a brief spout of guitar lessons from Eric Clapton in the mid 1990’s before joining the band `Mean Bone`, he was fired from `Mean Bone` in 1999 for claiming he was telepathically link with John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers (source totally interactive guitar bible). He left America to live in England in 2003 citing `spiritual enlightenment` as his cause; he hooked up with two misfits Dean Alcock and Richard Palmer through a response to a wanted ad in a costume hire shop. They formed the band `Heroes For Sale` who has yet to release an album, although those who have heard the tracks claim that `most of the songs seem to be about, or involve Eric Clapton in some way` all Eric Clapton could say was `I’m flattered`. An album is expected some time in 2007.
