Hero was the 2002 smash hit single from Superchic[k], a Christian Alternative Rock/Christian Pop Punk band. It reached Number One on Christian Rock charts and enjoyed play on both Christian and mainstream radio stations. It is contained in the Superchic[k] release titled "Last One Picked" and was remixed (red Pill) on Regeneration.
The song tells the stories of several individuals who could resort to suicide or murder if they are not shown love. The chorus tells the listener that "[they] could be a hero" by being a friend to these people.
