Herne Bay High Specialist School and Sports College is a mixed ability Foundation school, with designated Sports College status situated in Herne Bay, Kent. The school currently has on roll over 1,500 students.

The school was opened in 1954 at Kings Road Herne Bay. A year later the school moved to its present site in Bullockstone Road. On September 1st 1999 the school became a Foundation school and contol was passed from Kent County Council to the Headteacher. Exactly three years later on September 1st 2002 the school became a Specialist school and Sports College.

As the school has Sports college status, the fields, fitness center and the pitches are hired out to the local community and local sports teams. The new Fitness suite is also used by other local 6th Form schools.
