Hernán Neira

Hernán Neira is a Chilean writer and professor, born in Lima in 1960. He studied philosophy in Santiago and in Paris. He has published the stories A golpes de hacha y fuego, the novels El sueño inconcluso, El naufragio de la luz, and the essays El espejo de olvido and La ciudad y las palabras. He is also the author of numerous specialised articles on philosophy and literature. In 2003, with El naufragio de la luz, he won the "Las Dos Orillas" Prize for Novels, given by five European publishers.
