Hermann von Eichhorn

Hermann von Eichhorn (born February 13, 1848 in Breslau, Germany; assassinated July 30, 1918 in Kiev, Ukraine) was a Prussian army leader.

Eichhorn was the leader of the 10th Armee from January 26, 1915 until March 15, 1918. Since June 30, 1916 the 10th Armee was labeled Heeresgruppe Eichhorn. On December 18, 1917 Eichhorn gained the rank Generalfeldmarschall and in early 1918 he was elected as the military governor of Ukraine. Therefore he went to Kiev, where he was assassinated a little later that year.
