Herman Ouseley, Baron Ouseley

Herman George Ouseley, Baron Ouseley, (born 24 March 1945), is a British politician.
Ouseley was educated on the William Penn School in South London and the Catford College, where he received a Diploma in municipal administration.
He was chair and chief executive in the Commission for Racial Equality from 1993 to 2000. Since 1996 he is director of Brookmight Security and since 2000 of Focus Consultancy Ltd. For Different Realities Partnership Ltd Ouseley is chair since 2000.
Ouseley owns twelve honorary degrees, inclusively a Doctor of Letters from the University of Brighton He was knighted in 1997 and was made a life peer as Baron Ouseley, of Peckham Rye in the London Borough of Southwark for his services to local government and community relations on 26 June 2001. He was also chosen to the 100 Great Black Britons.
Lord Ouseley is married and has two children, one son and a daughter.
