"Here I Am" (1966 Album) was Dionne Warwick's fifth album for the Scepter label. It was recorded during the summer and fall of 1965 and was released early the next year. The LP was issued as number 531 in the Scepter Catalog.

The album's lead single was the title track, "Here I Am", which was featured in the film "What's New, Pussycat?". Despite this, the single failed to make the Top 40 in the United States. The follow-up, "Looking With My Eyes", prominently featured on the dance show "Hullabaloo", did not make the chart either.

The tide was changing, however, in Warwick's favor. The third single from the album, "Are You There With Another Girl?" was released in December, 1965, and it became a hit, reaching the Top 40, and doing much better in several cities.

Several early copies of the album had errors in the album cover, listing tracks such as "It's Love That Really Counts" that were not included on the album itself. Other notable songs featured on the album are the bouncy "Window Wishing", the hauntingly beautiful "If I Ever Make You Cry" and "This Little Light" which featured Warwick herself on the piano.

The album, as was normally the case, was produced by Burt Bacharach and Hal David and recorded at Bell Sound Studios in New York.
