Herbert Smith is a premier international law firm with a number of international offices. It is one of the largest law firms and is based head-quartered in London. In Europe and in Asia it is particularly known for its specialisation in litigation with many regarding it as the best litigation firm there is. In recent years its corporate practice has grown considerably and the firm's next objective is to grow the Finance practice
It is involved in a formal alliance with the German law firm Gleiss Lutz and Dutch/Belgian law firm Stibbe.
It is ranked 9th in the Lawyer Magazine's UK Top 100 with turnover of 296 million pounds and 10th in the Euro 100 and 41st in the Global 100 by the same magazine. Its Profit per Equity Partner(PEP) is 839,000 pounds.
