I would question this being {PD} .. assuming its a genuine old picture it would be {PD-art}, unless the person who took the picture released it into the public domain. But it appears to be a modified picture with Photoshop or somthing, perhaps even a modern original(?). Stbalbach 14:19, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
I have tracked this [1] down as the probable source of the picture, which is clearly 17th century. Does the modifier of an old picture gain copyright of the modified picture? Perhaps we should use the original. Lumos3 15:50, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah a mod would be copyright, unless specifically licensed otherwise. The original with a {pd-art} would be the safest way to go. Stbalbach 17:39, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
