Henryk Jerzy Chmielewski (nicknamed Papcio Chmiel (Papa Chmiel)) (b. June 7, 1923 in Warsaw, Poland) is an comic book artist, publicist.

During the World War II (Jerzy was 21 years old at this time) he served in the Home Army (7. pułk piechoty AK), took part in the Warsaw Uprising and then served in the Polish Army. In 1947 he started to work for "Świat Przygód" magazine, since 1949 for "Świat Młodych". He is the author of 26 tomes of Tytus, Romek i A'Tomek comic books.
