Henry Ward (architect)

Henry Ward was the architect of many large and important buildings in and around Hastings, East Sussex in England. Examples include

  • The castellated Hastings Town Hall in Queen's Road, 1880.
  • The Old Observer building 53 Cambridge Road, 1920s, currently threatened by demolition.
  • The Bexhill Town Hall, 1898.
  • The Congregational Church in Cambridge Road,
  • The Debenhams building, Hastings. Formerly Plummer Roddis, Henry Ward designed a whole chain of department stores for this firm in the 1920's.
