Henry Speeth

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Henry Q. Speeth (born March 23, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio, died December 25, 2003 in Cleveland, Ohio) was the son of an American politician who served as a Cuyahoga County Commissioner in the 1950s. In 1958, as a Commissioner, the county assumed control of Cleveland City Hospital from the City of Cleveland to create a county-wide hospital system.

Henry Q. was an anti-war activist during the Vietnam War in the 1960s and 1970s. Through the 1990s and into the 2000s, he could best be described as a landowner/landlord/freelance philosopher. He leaves behind dozens of folks who knew him a lot or a little (depending on who they are), but all were touched by his unique take on the cards life deals and his even more unique personality.

A street is not named after Henry Q. Speeth rather Henry Speeth senior. Cleveland's Ohio City neighborhood located off of Fulton Road between Bridge and Franklin Avenues.
