Henry Nes

Henry Nes (May 20, 1799 - September 10, 1850) was an Independent Democrat and Whig member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania.
Henry Nes was born in York, Pennsylvania. He completed preparatory studies and was graduated from Princeton College. He studied medicine and practiced in York.
Nes elected as an Independent Democrat to the Twenty-eighth Congress. He was elected as a Whig to the Thirtieth and Thirty-first Congresses and served until his death in York. He served as chairman of the United States House Committee on Invalid Pensions and the United States House Committee on Revisal and Unfinished Business, both during the Thirtieth Congress. Interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
