Henry Antonio Mateo is an outfielder for the Washington Nationals. He is currently playing for their minor league affiliate New Orleans Zephyrs. He was born on October 14, 1976 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Henry Mateo married Ana Lisette Brito on December 25, 1999. On August 30, 2000, the couple had a son, Henry Mateo, Jr.[citation needed]
