Henry David Minot
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Henry David Minot was a Massachusetts naturalist.
In 1876, he published The Land Birds and Game Birds of New England. Minot suffered from health problems and died at an early age. In 1877, Theodore Roosevelt collaborated with Minot on "The Summer Birds of the Adirondacks in Franklin County, NY" while still at a student at Harvard.
There is some confusion that he may have been the same person as Henry Davis Minot, but the relative obscurity of the issue has not aided research. A nature park in Massachusetts [1] was dedicated in his honor.
