Henderson High School is named after B. Reed Henderson, and is one of three high schools in the West Chester Area School District. It was one of the original high schools in the district. As of 2006, Marc Bertrando is the current principal.

Coach Kevin Kelly has led the Henderson Cross Country team to many state meets including a win in 2002.
Henderson's Track and Field team is also amongst the strongest in the Ches-Mont league. Chris Aldrich, Chris Ferry, and Carly Hamond are among some of their stars.
In 2007, The Boys Distance Medley Relay team, consisting of Chris Aldrich, Chris Ferry, Andrew Jervis, and Tim Shea, won the National Championship at team Nike Nationals.

The Henderson marching band has won the Tournament of Bands ACC Championships in Group 1 in 1998, 2000, 2002, and 2004.
