Moved this to US spelling (hemo- as opposed to haemo). I know, it's hard for Britishers, and I would normally spell everything with "ae" (ischemic vs. ischaemic etc.) Jfdwolff 14:41, 8 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Before skimming through this article, I was under the impression that the haemocytometer's 'A' square (1mm² square that is) was split into 25 seperate 'B' squares (yellow) of width 0.2mm², and is then further divided into 16 'C' squares (ie 1/400mm²). I'm unsure. I created the current diagram from notes I made whilst at uni. It is possible that my notes were wrong. I'll see if I can get hold of a haemocytometer and a microscope for 10 minutes. I've had a miserable time trying to get the photos to float in useful ways to make this layout look good. What I've got now is a little hackish and still gives a barely tolerable result, so if anybody with more wiki fu can improve it, please, have at it. -- JVinocur 02:33, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
