From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hemingby is a village and civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England, about three miles north of the market town of Horncastle, and surrounded by the villages of Baumber, Goulceby and West Ashby.

The River Bain and its tributary the Hemingby beck flow through the village.

The parish church is St. Margaret's; the pub is the Coach & Horses (the 'coach' being the old Louth-to-Lincoln route).

There was (until 1978) also a Methodist chapel in the village: the building is being converted to a private house Feb 2007.
