Helltown is a small town in Boston Township, Summit County, Ohio. The real name of the town is Boston. The area has long been associated with satanists and hauntings.

There are many legends regarding Helltown. The most popular ones regard satanists and an abandoned house in the middle of the woods. Others regard the Boston Cemetery and the Boston Mills Road bridge.
[edit] Stanford Road
Stanford Road, nicknamed "the Highway To Hell", is the road usually centering around Helltown's myths and legends. A point on the road, known as "The End Of The World", is a huge dropoff where a hill goes down at a sharp decline, leading to a barricade.
Up the closed off section of the road is an abandoned house. The Cuyahoga Valley National Park has ownership of this house and will prosecute you for trespassing and breaking and entering if you try to enter it.
[edit] Boston Cemetery
Another popular place for legends is this cemetery, which is said to be haunted. Reports claim sightings of a ghostly man, a moving tree, and grave robbers. Evidence, however, is lacking to support these claims.

Satanists are said to practice rituals involving animal sacrifice at a church off of Boston Mills Road. This rumor has also been disproved, as the church is a Presbyterian church.
More recently, the myth has included the KKK in the place of Satanists.

Yet another rumor about the town has to do with a chemical spill or a chemical plant explosion in the area. Usually, a Butane Plant is the cause. Local reports of the history of the area shows there was never any type of chemical plant, nor spill in the area.
This is often used to explain the local legend of the "Peninsula Python", a gigantic snake that wanders the areas woods.

Almost all of the legends of Helltown are proven to be false. A site, www.deadohio.com, claimed to have found proof that the bridge on Boston Mills Road is haunted. [1]
