For the launching of the Mercedes-Benz W169 Christina Aguilera became the new image of the German-American automotor consortium DaimlerChrysler.

Then, since June of 2004 Mercedes-Benz enabled an internet page of advertising: www.follow-your-own-star.com [1]. And the music could be downloaded from there.

The campaign included Mercedes-Benz television spots with her, and also Giorgio Armani and Boris Becker.

Mercedes-Benz signed an agreement with MTV-Europe where Aguilera was shown in several advances of "Hello". Inviting to compete to meet her, eventually in the celebrations of September 2004 in Milan at the Castello Sforzesco.

The song was originally going to be released as an offical single but did not pull through due to Christina had started her next musical project.
