Helen Jones

Helen Mary Jones (born on 24 December 1954, Chester, England) is a Roman Catholic lawyer and Member of Parliament of Irish and Welsh extraction. She is Labour Party Member of Parliament for Warrington North. She was first elected in 1997.

Helen Jones received cross-party support for her contribution to the Queen's Speech Debate 2006. Education Secretary Alan Johnson called it "one of the most thoughtful and incisive speeches I have heard in the house" while a Tory MP described it as "one of the most eloquent speeches I have heard in this place."
