[edit] Re: Constructivism
Ohhh, heh, as far as I could tell it was all in working order -- I actually had to fix it because I was personally responsible for breaking it, by moving the page it linked to (Wikipedia is incredibly anal about capitalization in article titles). I am picky about underscores (they're needed in URLs, but spaces work fine in wikilinks) so I happened to take those out... but I have to admit I've never done a merge template, either, haha. Thanks for the hospitality, though, I appreciate it. =D Luna Santin 11:47, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cleanup Taskforce
I added the article Samantha Fox to your desk since you expressed an interest in working on biography articles. Please look at the article and either accept or let me know and I'll reassign it. I also took the liberty of expanding your list of interests in the template. Thank you. RJFJR 03:11, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My RfA thanks
Hello Heidijane, and thank you for your support at my Request for Adminship, which succeeded with an overwhelming final count of (105/2/0). I was very pleased with the outpouring of kind words from the community that has now entrusted me with these tools, from the classroom, the lesson in human psychology and the international resource known as Wikipedia. The Free Encyclopedia. Please feel free to leave me plenty of requests, monitor my actions (through the admin desk on my userpage) and, if you find yourself in the mood, listen to some of what I do in real life. In any case, keep up the great work and have a fabulous day. Grandmasterka 06:51, 16 July 2006 (UTC) |
[edit] Welcome!
Hi, and welcome to the Biography WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of biographies.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- The project has a monthly newsletter; it will normally be delivered as a link, but several other formats are available.
There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- Starting some new articles? Our article structure tips outlines some things to include.
- Want to know how good our articles are? The assessment department is working on rating the quality of every biography article in Wikipedia.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! plange 20:38, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WP:WHMT
Hello. You may or may not remember this, but some time ago you signed up for a Hangman Tournament hosted here on Wikipedia. The next tournament is about to start, and I was just wondering if you were still interested in participating. If you are, please go to the page (linked above) and bold your name in the sign-up list. This will confirm your registration. If you are not interested any more, please feel free to remove your name from the list. If you haven't responded within 7 days, I will assume you are not interested, and remove you from the list.
If you think anyone else may be interested in this tournament, please drop them a note and ask them to sign up. Good luck, and I hope to see you at the tournament! If you have any questions, please contact me at my talk page. Ian Manka Talk to me! 13:36, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Disambiguation Talk Request
This is a form message being sent to all WikiProject Disambiguation participants. I may have found your page based on your contributions or your link repair user box on your user page. If you are not a member, please consider including your name on the project page. I recently left a proposed banner idea on the WikiProject Disambiguation talk page and I would appreciate any input you could provide. Before it can be approved or denied, I would prefer a lot of feedback from multiple participants in the project. So if you have the time please join in the discussion to help improve the WikiProject. Keep up the good work in link repair and thanks for your time. Nehrams2020 22:58, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Helping out with the Unassessed Wikipedia Biographies
Seeing that you are an active member of the WikiBiography Project, I was wondering if you would help lend a hand in helping us clear out the amount of unassessed articles tagged with {{WPBiography}}. Many of them are of stub and start class, but a few are of B or A caliber. Getting a simple assessment rating can help us start moving many of these biographies to a higher quality article. Thank you! --Ozgod 20:44, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry for the delay in getting back to you - but thank you for offering to help out. The best place to go out and help with this project is our [Biography Assessment] project. Also, check [here] for assessing biographies. Most of the unassessed biographies fall into the stub start and B class. A stub class is the most basic article - little information, no infobox, no picture - bare minimum. You would leave the article not knowing much about the subject. A start class is a little more fleshed out - probably focusing on either the subjects career or life, and may possess an infobox or picture. A B class article is generally fleshed out, referenced, contains an infobox and usually a picture (if they are from the fourth century, it is understandable they may not have a photo available). If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! Again, thank you. --Ozgod 02:55, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Assessment from an article page
Thank you for helping out with the Biography assessment drive. Good news. Outriggr recently designed a script that will cut youf biography assessment time down by about ten fold (what took ten hours now may only take one hour with Outriggr's script). For more information, please see the 'assessment from article page' discussion. -- Jreferee 20:16, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AWB
Hi Heidi Jane (just down the road from me in Worcester!). I'm approving your application to use AWB, but I'm just dropping a note to let you know that if you're intending to use my plugin for assessments there's a small bug which has been fixed in the next version. I suggest waiting until the next AWB release, which will be some time this week (maybe even today). If you're not intending to use my plugin, then you're good to go. --kingboyk 11:17, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Last push for the Biography Assessment Drive
We've done great work so far on the WikiProject Biography Spring 2007 Assessment Drive, reducing the 135,345 backlog by 38,626 to 96,719 as of March 20, 2007. We have only 6,720 more to go to get below 90,000. That would be outstanding and any extra effort that you can offer in these last few days of the drive (which ends March 24, 2007) would be much appreciated. If you haven't already, you may want to load Outriggr's assessment script in your monobook.js. If you have any questions, please feel free to post them on my talk page. -- Jreferee 23:15, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
