Height Weight Proportional

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Height Weight Proportional (HWP) refers to a body mass index calculation based on the ratio of a person's weight to height squared. In medical use, an index < 18.5 is considered Underweight, between 18.5 and 25 is normal, 25 to 30 is overweight and 30+ is Obese. The calculation was developed in the early 1990s. The "HWP" abbreviation is often seen in personal ads, indicating that the poster does not consider him- or herself to be overweight, often without knowing their true BMI. Though BMI only shows the relationship between weight and height. WHR or Weight height ratio is a measure that shows your weight to height in ratio. In otherwords if you were 1 M tall, a 2 M man would appear the same on a 1:2 ratio but x 2 in the dimensions. his weight would be 8 times as much (2 cubed) so WHR or BWHR = Weight (Kg) / Height (Cubed).
