The HK P11 is a special-purpose Heckler & Koch pistol designed to be used underwater, where ordinary-shaped bullets are inaccurate and have a very short range. As a result, this pistol fires steel darts about 10 cm long. Its barrels have rifling. It has longer range and has more penetrating power than spearguns. It has five barrels, each of which is loaded with a cartridge. After firing all five cartridges, the pistol must be sent back to its manufacturer for reloading. It has been seen in action movies like Lara Croft: Tomb Raider[1].
The P11 is reportedly in service with German combat divers, the British SAS, and 100 units of U.S. Special operations forces. It is also used by Dutch, Danish, Italian Navy Arditi Incursori, Norwegian and Israeli combat divers.
