The Heckler & Koch HK33 developed by Heckler & Koch is an automatic rifle that fires the 5.56 x 45 mm NATO round that is based on the Heckler & Koch G3 rifle.

- HK33A2
The HK33A2 is an HK33 with a solid stock and an SEF trigger group, with the positions Sicher ("safe"), Einzelfeuer ("single shot") and Feuerstoß ("fire").
- HK33A3
The HK33A3 is a HK33 with an SEF trigger group and a 1-position retractable butt stock that resembles that of the HK MP5.
[edit] E ("Export") Models
The "E" ("Export market") models were product improved versions of the HK33. They had longer receivers, optional selective-fire trigger groups (capable of firing 3-round bursts as well as full auto), and drum rear sights.

The HK33EA2 is a HK33E with a solid stock and a selective-fire trigger group.
- HK33EA3
The HK33EA3 is a HK33E rifle with a selective-fire trigger group and a retractable butt stock.
- HK33KEA3
The HK33KEA3 is a shortened HK33KE Karabiner ("carbine") with a selective-fire trigger group and a retractable butt stock.

- HK 43
The HK 43 is a paramilitary semi-automatic version of the HK 33 designed for the United States' civilian arms market. It was made from 1974 to 1975, being replaced by the HK 93 Sporting Rifle in 1975.
The HK 53 is an assault carbine version of the HK33.

- HK33E-TGS
The HK33-TGS ("Tactical Group Support" model) is a HK33 with an HK 79 40mm underbarrel grenade launcher attachment.
- HK33SG/1
The HK33SG/1 (Scharfschützengewehr / Ausführung 1, or "Marksman's Rifle / Mark 1") is a HK33 with a scope and bipod. Minor adjustments to the flash hider and trigger mechanism were made as well.
