The name "HeartBurn Kid" was taken from a skit performed by comedic pro-wrestler The Blue Meanie while in ECW, in which he imitated "The HeartBreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. Meanie was (and still is) one of HBK's favorite wrestlers, as was (and is) Michaels, so he felt he'd draw his nom de net from both in this manner.
