[edit] CURRENT STATUS AUGUST '06

Sadly the article has merged Overgrow and Heaven's Stairway resulting in some problems producing a historical record that excludes the mention of Heaven's Stairway (see Talk:Heaven's Stairway/Archive1). Any attempt to WP:CITE the historical record before Heaven's Stairway has met opposition. I see some new people have added tags to try and help expand on the historical record but they don't WP:CITE. I for one would like to see the WP:CITE used to support the historical record but some contributors do not want that. As long as their is a push to front only one type of WP:CITE the historical record will never be allowed to surface which is why the article does not have one. So sorry that the article does not have a historical record for overgrow.com (we tried, really we did) but maybe someday contributors can overcome this obstacle. I for one, hope that you do. [edit] Unsourced opinion authored by User:38.119.107.78 moved from main article

Overgrow.com the website ENDED up as a part of the Heavens Stairway group of companies. But it was started and flourished for years with no affiliation to any Seed company. It was started as a meeting place for like minded people to share information on growing and consuming cannabis.

It was best know for its forums, originally known as The Cannabis Edge.Overgrow.com would publish articles on all aspects of the Cannabis Culture and the Cannabis Edge hosted discussions about those articles and more.

During that time,The Strainbase and The Shark Tank were two popular sections. In the strainbase, users were encouraged to share their experiences growing a particular strain of cannabis. Pictures, a grow report and even a Smoke report were added by individual users,

The Shark Tank was a no-holds barred, free speech section of Overgrow where people were allowed to vent about anything and everyone.

EDIT

The Shark Tank was actually a seperate website that was started in order to discuss topics that were censored on the Overgrow.com forums.

Overgrow.com the website was so much more than how it ended.

EDIT #2 (by someone else):

The Shark Tank was originally a part of the forums. The website was created AFTER it was deleted from the forums. Also I'm almost positive that the most popular section of the website was the Smokers Lounge. Besides hosting the highest number of topics, it was also home to "Lounge Lizards" such as myself.

Actually the shark tank was originally part of Overgrow.com. If memory serves me correct it was located right above the Trash Bin, and under the Smokers Lounge. Later on, after it was deleted from the forums, it became its own website.

[edit] Strainbase backup

Whoever included the historical reference for the strainbase found at [1]. Sorry it was removed by someone else who doesn't want it there. Nice historical record though (when we get the off chance to see such things before they are removed). (Simonapro 19:15, 13 August 2006 (UTC))
