"In 2005 there was a live-action movie featuring Heathcliff and other characters such as Dingbat, Marmaduke, and Cats and Co. This features Freddie Prinze Jr, Walter Candy, Jim Jarvis, Christopher Lloyd and Robert Stanton."

I can't find any reference anywhere to this movie? Does anyone know what this is? - Pulpculture

  • It's not in IMDB at all, so as far as I'm aware, this movie doesn't exist. I did find this page though, but I doubt it has any validity. - 66.92.0.61
    • The movie, if real, appears to actually be animated or computer-animated, based on that cast list to which you linked. Perhaps the voice track has been recorded but the movie has not actually been animated? In any case, I think it would be best to remove the reference to the "live-action movie" until it can actually be confirmed, unless someone can cite a reliable source. - Pulpculture 17:46, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
  • It's fake. Also note... It's very likely that Turner Broadcasting would own the Dingbat and The Creeps characters. --64.12.116.66 15:03, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

I have never seen the Ruby-Spears Heathcliff cartoon, and therefore would like to know if it was any different from the DiC cartoon. For one thing, did it do a better job adaptating the strip, and did Iggy actually look like his comic strip counterpart? - Nintendo Maximus

  • Yes, to both questions. However, both series are equally good, IMO.

[edit] Meowth as Heathcliff

I know this sounds crazy. But could Addie Blaustein, the voice of Meowth, be the voice of Heathcliff if they ever remade the cartoon?

Her New York accent matches Mel Blanc's original Heathcliff voice perfectly.

[edit] Cast?

Given that the title of this article is "Heathcliff (comic strip), it's a little weird to come across a "cast" section. Could someone make it clearer as to what movie this is the cast of? Hbackman 01:13, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

  • It's the DiC version.

[edit] Unseen episode?

What's this about 'Heathcliff's Workout', an "unseen episode"? I can't find any more about it on the net anywhere, and there's no more information in the article. It just seems kind of thrown in there. 82.32.186.55 07:51, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

  • Right, I've deleted this bit then. If someone wants to add it back in, with sources, feel free. 82.32.186.55 12:03, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
