[edit] It's Hot!

It's very hot in the playhouse. Pee-Wee is sitting on Chairry, feeling real hot from the heat. Pee-wee wonders if Mr. Kite could tell Pee-Wee any weather reports. He goes to Mr. Window to call Mr. Kite, but he's on Pee-wee's bed and explains that there's not even enough breeze to keep him in the sky.

[edit] Two Secret Words

When Pee-wee asks Conky what the secret word is for the day, Conky prints out two secret words at the same time. Pee-wee is surprised at the idea of two secret words, which are HERE and HEAR, two words that have different meanings but have the same sound. He reminds the viewers of what to do whenever anyone says the secret words Pee-wee asks Globey where Australia is. After everyone screams, Pee-wee spells out the first secret word, "H-E-R-E". Next he tries "Hear" on Chairry by moving his lips without speaking. Chairry explains that she did not hear. After everyone screams again, Pee-wee spells the other secret word, "H-E-A-R".

[edit] The Importance of Water

The flowers are trying to announce the King of Cartoons, but after each say "Presenting...", each would start coughing and hyperventilating. Then weakly try to continue their announcement, but couldn't announce much. Pee-Wee wonders what the problem is and each flower explains the problem. Flower 1: "Oh, Pee-Wee, it's the heat. We're parched." Flower 2: "We're drying up." Flower 3: "Yeah, we need water." Pee-Wee protests that he watered them yesterday. And then Pee-Wee says to the flowers: "You drink like fish." The fish say: "What's the matter with that? I'd rather drink like a fish than swim like a flower." Both laugh. Magic screen tells Pee-Wee that water is very imporant to every living thing and offers to show how important it is while Pee-Wee grabs the watering can. Magic Screen then shows an old black and white short film about the imporance of water. After the film ends, Pee-wee comes skipping merrily out of the bathroom with the watering can filled up. Pee-Wee runs behind Pterri's nest and tricks them and then heads on his way, but trips, spilling the water into the Dinosaur family's hole in the wall. The housewife dinosaur of the family gets angry about the flood. Pee-Wee then apologizes, "Sorry, Mrs. Dinosaur!" The Dinosaur kids are surfing. And then we see Pee-Wee just finished watering the flowers. Each flower goes "Ahh!", except the third flower, which burps. All laugh and then the third flower says "Excuse me". Pee-Wee then says, "You're excused". Then the flowers announce the King of Cartoons.

[edit] The King of Cartoons

When the flowers announce the King of Cartoons, he comes in weakly due to the heat. After the King of Cartoons comes in, he quickly grabs Pee-Wee's watering can and frantically drinks up what's left in it as Pee-Wee hesitantly asks "How's it going?". After the King of Cartoons was finished drinking, he explains "I waited so long for my introduction that I guess I worked up a king-sized thirst". Pee-Wee then says "Yeah, you look like you kinda have a royal flush". The King of Cartoons then says, "It's too hot to show any cartoons today". Everyone groans and then The King of Cartoons apologizes and explains "I hate to disappoint my loyal fans". The word "fans" inspired Pee-Wee to make a fan out of construction paper. Pee-Wee folds a piece of blue paper many times and then cools the King of Cartoons down with it, then he shows the cartoon.

[edit] Trivia

  • Monsieur Robert is voiced by George McGrath.
  • This marks the second time Globey points out Australia's location to Pee-wee. The first time was in Store, when Pee-wee receives a pen-pal letter from Australia.
  • This episode marks another time in which two secret words are used instead of one.
  • Monsieur Robert looks rather like a puppet version of Captain Carl.
  • Pee-wee's final line, "Y'all come back now, ya hear?" may be a reference to The Beverly Hillbillies, in which this very same line is spoken at the end of the closing credits.
