Heartbreaker (Dionne Warwick song)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Heartbreaker" is a 1982 hit single released by American pop and soul singer Dionne Warwick. Written by The Bee Gees' Barry, Maurice, and Robin Gibb, and produced by Barry Gibb.
The song charted on Billboard's Hot 100 (peaking at #10 in January, 1983) and #1 Adult Contemporary in the USA and #2 in the UK, and continued Warwick's successful comeback after a tepid period with Warner Bros. Records.
Warwick admitted in The Billboard Book of Number One Adult Contemporary Hits by Wesley Hyatt that she was not fond of "Heartbreaker," but recorded it because she trusted the Bee Gees' judgment that it would be a hit. It became Warwick's biggest solo hit of the 1980s (not counting "That's What Friends Are For").
