Heald Green railway station is on the Styal line, opened between Longsight (Slade Lane Junction) and Wilmslow in 1909. It serves Heald Green, part of Cheadle in the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport. This two-platform station is now on the Manchester-Crewe rail route, used by Northern Rail and TransPennine Express for Manchester Airport services (from a line that branches off at a triangle junction south of Heald Green). Airport services provided by Northern Rail and TransPennine Express are regular and many call only at Heald Green between Manchester Airport station and Manchester Piccadilly. There is a small car park adjacent to the station.
