Headshaking
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Headshaking is a condition where the horse or pony shakes it head continuously, often while being ridden.
It is thought that some horses are allergic to certain pollens, which causes them to headshake. However some horses also react to flies.
The use of nose nets is often perceived to improve the problem. Nose nets are not allowed in all competitions. However British Dressage has approved of the use of the Equilibrium Net Relief Muzzle Net in its competitions.
