Head First (Uriah Heep album)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 15th album from British rock group Uriah Heep. Head First was released in 1983, on the Bronze Records label.
Recorded by the line-up responsible for the previous year's Abominog, but with a greater proportion of songs written by the band. It is well-regarded by fans.
Stay On Top was released as a single and a video was made. A double-7" gatefold edition was released. Non-album track Playing For Time was included.
Lonely Nights was the second single. A picture-disc 7" was released.
On the Head First tour former Heep bassist Trevor Bolder rejoined the band, replacing his replacement, Bob Daisley, and remains to this day.
Video footage of the tour, from a show in New Zealand, was heavily featured on the longform video Easy Livin': A History Of Uriah Heep. This was released in Japan also a laserdisc.
