[edit] Journals

Hi there. I've noticed that you're adding links to particular journals to pages that may not be entirely relevant. For instance, at seawater and ecology you linked an aquatic conservation journal. While this isn't an entirely inappropriate link, there are many (many) journals far more pertinent than this one to these subjects. Please think about whether a journal is of key importance to a subject before linking it in. Otherwise, people may suspect you're a stooge for a journal just linking it in for advertising purposes. P.S. Say, for instance, a stooge for John Wiley ... --Plumbago 15:23, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

I concur. All of your contributions so far are attempting to include this journal link in many pages. This is considered linkspam. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites that you are affiliated with, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --Rkitko 15:59, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
