HDMS Birkholm (A541) is the first of a total of 6 Mk I standard vessels, ordered for the Royal Danish Navy. Two vessels, including HDMS Birkholm, will be used for surveying operations, and painted in an orange/creme painting scheme. Another two vessels will be used for training vessels for naval cadets, and painted in the normal gray scheme. The same goes for the last two vessels, which will be used as station vessels and mine-drones.
