[edit] Open source vs. free software
You marked the article as a stub. It would be very nice if you would like to explain why on the talk-page. What information you think the article is lacking etc, so that we easier can improve the article. Cheers - David Björklund (talk) 11:09, 21 November 2005 (UTC)
- Sorry, I don't remember anymore why I marked it a stub. I think the article had some poorly connected phrases. It seemed that the article was not ready yet. --Hdante 18:21, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] lowercase
Hi! Just wanted to let you know that {{lowercase}} would probably work better for you than {{wrongtitle}}. Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 02:35, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hey, I wasn't trying to revert your edit
On the cartoons page, the edit times are so fast, you don't know what you're reverting. BlueGoose 21:01, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
Never mind, I didn't revert you :) BlueGoose 21:02, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] DVD-Audio
Just wanted to say thanks for playing devil's advocate on DVD-Audio. We'll get the article up to par soon enough! --Analogdemon (talk) 05:09, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the compliments. I'm glad everyone's satisfied. --Analogdemon (talk) 15:32, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Template:Free software
I see that you and JVz are resurrecting this template. I like the new wording - well done. In the past, one of the reasons it got deleted was that it wasn't used very much. Are you and he planning on putting it onto lots of the relevant articles as part of this resurrection? Do you want any help? --Nigelj 20:50, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hello. I'm not onto this. Maybe you should ask JVz about this. However, I'd find it great to put them on all the free software-related articles in Wikipedia. I can help if necessary.--Hdante 21:09, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Political_compass,_free_software.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Political_compass,_free_software.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] disambiguating Terminal
Hi Hdante! I saw you changed the disambiguation of Terminal from System console to Computer terminal at .txt. I've recently created Text terminal in the hopes that terminal could point there whenever the meaning is not a physical (possibly graphical) computer terminal but any (possibly software) text terminal. In the case of .txt I was hesitant to point there because it isn't explicitly about the system terminal, but I'd suggest text terminal is better than computer terminal. What do you think? (I'll see your answer here.) --TuukkaH 09:26, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
- That's right. Text terminal is the appropriate article. --Hdante 04:41, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

- I hope you like the article. And thanks for fixing the images, I had already got feedback on them but didn't know what to do with them. --TuukkaH 07:41, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sustainability Index
Your activity was an act of vandalism. If you want to remove the index and metric on the sustainability page you should obey the rules and discuss it first. Sholto Maud 22:47, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
- I didn't remove anything. Read the history page. Also, the person who removed the metric, San Saba, was just a reckless new user, not a vandal. This is well described in the guideline Wikipedia:Be bold in updating pages. Learn what things are all about before making such lame comments. --Hdante 02:12, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, lamer, I forgot to suggest you another guideline: Wikipedia:Assume good faith. You'll learn a lot in Wikipedia:No personal attacks. --Hdante 02:22, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

- Hey, lamee, :P, sorry I clicked the wrong user button. My apologies. :( Sholto Maud 02:52, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] pH
Hi, I commented/asked a question on your change to the pH equation on Talk:pH#Absolute value on concentration. Please reply, thanks. — Edward Z. Yang(Talk) 15:51, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your "Under the Influence" warning
Your "Under the Influence" warning is great. Did you create that or was it awarded to you based on performance? MotherFunctor 06:26, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Edit summaries
I have noted that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! --Ideogram 12:51, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Synaptic-installing-bmp.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Synaptic-installing-bmp.png. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fritz Saalfeld (Talk) 23:08, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Stop!
Stop edit warring. Stop insulting each other. —Centrx→talk • 22:07, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- If someone insults you, it is not an effective solution to insult them back. If both parties followed that principle, the conflict would just escalate. Comment on content, not other editors. There are other avenues for dealing with egregious or continuing personal attacks. I don't think that is necessary here; this is instead a heated argument. See also [1]. —Centrx→talk • 22:13, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
