"HD 69830 is the first extrasolar planetary system around a Sun‐like star without any known gas giants."

I'm not sure if this statement is correct - the Lovis et al. paper suggests that the outer planet may have a core/gaseous envelope ratio close to 1, which would make it similar to Uranus or Neptune, and goes on to state "Although this ~20MEarth planet is probably not telluric, its discovery opens the way to an exciting topic in astronomy: the characterization of low-mass planets in the habitable zone of solar-type stars." - i.e. it is probably not a terrestrial.

It may be more correct to state that the system doesn't contain Jupiter- or Saturn-mass planets. Chaos syndrome 10:42, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
