HazeMD is a computer software program for personal computers designed to faithfully and precisely emulate the entire software library released for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, including many Unlicensed cartridges which do not function correctly on any other emulator.

The emulator is built on the MAME source, making use of the existing foundations (CPU and sound emulation cores, emulation framework) to provide accurate emulation of the core components of the System.

HazeMD was developed as a side-project of MAME developer David 'Haze' Haywood as a testbed for new Mega Drive/Genesis and Master System emulation code to be used in the revised emulation of the arcade Megatech and Megaplay systems and others based on similar hardware.
