Haydn Gwynne

Haydn Gwynne born 1960 is a British actress best known for her roles in Drop the Dead Donkey, Peak Practice and Merseybeat. Before training as an actor, she had an academic career, teaching English at the University of Rome. This was reflected in the first role for which she gained prominence: as feminist lecturer Dr Robyn Penrose in the BBC dramatisation of David Lodge's Nice Work (1989).
She has had a very versatile career which includes film, TV, theatre and radio. She also does work for the charity Sightsavers International. She has just finished her run in Billy Elliot the Musical at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London.
