Hayden Triggs plays Lock for the Manawatu Turbos. He recently achieved the milestone of 50 games for the Manawatu province in the first repechage game against Hawke's Bay. Triggs has been regarded as one of the form players of the inaugural Air New Zealand Cup and has been tipped for higher honours in 2007, with the certainty of a Hurricanes contract, replacing Ross Kennedy from the squad. Triggs has already been involved with the Hurricanes, as he was in the wider training squad in the 2006 season. In addition to this, Triggs has represented New Zealand in the Divisional XV 3 times,was a member of the Hurricanes U20 squad,Wellington U19s,played representative age rugby for Manawatu.
