Smoking the Fool, Haxey Hood (in Haxey, North Lincolnshire, Great Britain)
A defining moment in the Fool's Speech in the preamble to the Haxey Hood - damp straw is burned behind the fool as he makes his speech. In centuries gone by, the fool was hung from a tree and smoked!
