Is this really called Windover? There is a town about 25km west of Hawkesbury called "Wendover" with an "e". --curling rock Earl Andrew - talk 04:55, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

I've seen this name Windover Field elsewhere (namely on Copanational.org [1] and also on a program called "Flight Simulator") so I'm guessing it's called Windover, but I agree with you Earl Andrew, that it is might actually be Wendover with an e because the airport, according to Copanational.org, has co-ordinates closer to Wendover or Alfred than to Hawkesbury. I will try and find out more. --FreshFruitsRule 21:24, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
The current edition of of the Canada Flight Supplement calls it "Hawkesbury (Windover Field) Airport". However, this is no guarantee that it's 100% accurate. They have made naming errors before but they do usually catch them quickly and this name has gone through at least 4 revisions without a change. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 00:18, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
