Hawthorne High School is a four year comprehensive public high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grade from Hawthorne, in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States, as part of the Hawthorne Public Schools.

The Hawthorne High School Bears compete in the 13-member Bergen-Passaic Scholastic League (BPSL), comprised of private and public high schools located in Bergen County and Passaic County.

- Lois A. Cuccinello, who has served on the Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders since 1997. In January of 1999 she was selected to serve as Freeholder Director, making Freeholder Cuccinello the first woman to hold that position in four decades.[1]
