Hawkesville, Ontario
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hawkesville is a small town with a population of approximately 150 people. The town is centered around a small Mennonite church which has approximately 100 members. It also has a view of the Conestoga River and surrounding countryside. Hawkesville is home to several small businesses and a community centre. Just a fifteen-minute drive from Waterloo, people are drawn to Hawkesville for its charm and hospitality. Hawkesville has recently acquired a four-way stop sign on the main road, which is one more step in making Hawkesville a safe and happy community.
One of the ways to experience the Mennonite charm is a stop at Marian's Country Cupboard, a charming little restaurant located at 27 Geddes St, in Hawkesville's main intersection. A dish of turkey with all the trimings in this setting is pure joy.
