Havelte

Havelte ( 52°46′N, 6°14′E) is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Westerveld, and lies about 17 km west of Hoogeveen.

Havelte was a separate municipality until 1998, when it became a part of Westerveld.[1]

In 2001, the village of Havelte had 2770 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 1.1 km2, and contained 1207 residences.[2] The statistical area "Havelte", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 3630.[3]
